You can feed the Olewo canine carrots to horses but always mix it with water. Otherwise it can be dangerous for the horse. Since the canine carrots come in a dry pellet form which will expand when moistened, this could present a problem in the horses narrow throat. On the other hand, for overweight horses on a diet, the canine carrots can be very helpful since they don’t contain the juice. This means they don’t contain as much sugar. Always mix dry canine pellets with water when feeding to horses! Since the juice is not pressed out of the horse chips as it is with the canine pellets, the addition of water or oil is not necessary.
Olewo can be used for rabbits, rodents and other animals. 100 grams (approx. 3.5 oz) is equal to 1 kg. (2.2 lbs.) of fresh carrots. Daily intake should be calculated and determined by the owner as if they were feeding fresh carrots.
